Hawker Hurricane Mk IIC

The Hurricane was a single engine, single seat fighter aircraft and was Great Britain's first modern fighter of the 1930s. Despite the more publicized role played by the Spitfire in the Battle Of Britain, it was the Hurricane that played the decisive role, downing more aircraft than the rest of the defenses combined. Armed with 8 7.7-mm machine guns or 4 20-mm cannons (Mk IIC), the Hurricane could attain a Max speed of 308 mph with a service ceiling of 33,000 feet. Production of the Hurricane eventually totaled 14,232, only a few precious examples remain airworthy today.
