Fairchild A10 Thunderbolt II

The A10 Thunderbolt, sometimes referred to as the Worthog, is a single seat tactical support and anti-tank warplane. It was designed to survive against Soviet battlefield air defenses and knock out Soviet tanks. Survivability is provided by widely separated engines and titanium armor for the pilot and primary systems. The offensive capability of the A10 is centered around the huge seven barreled 30-mm cannon firing depleted uranium projectiles, along with a wide variety of ordnance including six Maverick air-to-surface missiles carried under the fuselage and wings.
